Most blogs and websites use the nofollow html attribute in their comment section to prevent the passing of so called link juice (practically a vote for that website) to the websites mentioned or added by the commenter. It basically means that posting a comment and including your websites url will not increase your position in the search engines.
Social Bookmarking websites can be great ways to increase the traffic to your blog. Traffic is most of the time targeted unless you get featured on some homepage that is. You do get a backlink to your website, you do get some traffic, all of that for some additional work. So, yes I personally think it is a good idea if you publish your links to a few websites.

Some Make Money Bloggers talk the talk but do not walk the walk if you know what I mean. This case study will tell you what I did to create my website and push it to the top in Google in less than a month. Some will claim that it is not possible because of the Sandbox and the like. I can tell you that it is working, not for all keywords though but if you find a niche that is underrepresented you can make it in no time.
You might have noticed those cute double listings when searching on Google before which are nothing else than two search results from the same website on the same Google results page. The beauty of it is that your site gets more traffic because of this. There are other benefits as well, you drive of one competitor from that page as well.
