Blogging Experiment Part VII Update

In the previous articles I explained how I did research a niche, bought a domain and found a web hoster. The next step was to setup Wordpress and add a few plugins to the blog. You might be wondering why I decided to use Wordpress and not some static html pages. The simple answer is time. I can setup Wordpress in five minutes and have the site up and running. There are so many free themes to choose from and plugins to pick that I have a wonderful unique site in less than an hour of work. This makes it possible to concentrate on writing articles and SEO instead of building some html pages.

Now that I discovered the niche that I wanted to use I had to find a good domain name for that niche, grab it from a domain hoster and evaluate hosting options. I knew that I had to pay roughly $10 per year for the domain name and I decided to search for a host where I did not have to pay more than $5 per month. This would mean that I could operate the website for $70 per year which would be still under my budget, but since I want to achieve results in three months I did calculate $25 for hosting and domain for that time.
