Most blogs and websites use the nofollow html attribute in their comment section to prevent the passing of so called link juice (practically a vote for that website) to the websites mentioned or added by the commenter. It basically means that posting a comment and including your websites url will not increase your position in the search engines.
DoFollow is a movement that passes that link juice. It’s not a html attribute, it simply means that the blog or website is not using the nofollow attribute in its comment section.
I would like to introduce two search engines that search dofollow blogs and websites for certain keywords and display the found websites. Webmasters can then comment on those found websites and gain some link juice. It normally is not that successful because most websites do not allow keyword related anchor tags but require a name instead. (the name field in the comment form is the anchor text unless you place a link in the comment body as well and risk being moderated)
As an example, if you want to comment on a SEO blog you could try and use the term Search Engine Optimization as the name and a link to your website. This term will most likely get moderated because it is not a name but a keyword. If you are lucky you have a website that uses your name (or another) as one of its main keywords.
Backlink Spot offers a custom Google search of DoFollow blogs and websites. I tried several common search terms like SEO, money or clothing which all returned several result pages. Nice for such a niche search engine.
The second search engine uses a custom Google search as well. It seems to find fewer items than Backlink Spot though but it still did find results for all terms that I have entered.
