Some Make Money Bloggers talk the talk but do not walk the walk if you know what I mean. This case study will tell you what I did to create my website and push it to the top in Google in less than a month. Some will claim that it is not possible because of the Sandbox and the like. I can tell you that it is working, not for all keywords though but if you find a niche that is underrepresented you can make it in no time.

Please understand that I will not reveal the niche to protect it. It is about a popular product that is sold in online stores and “real-life” stores and mentioned on TV as well. My research on the main keywords showed that there was only one competitor with a site established a few months ago.

The site was sold on a popular webmaster forum and I was able to get a good understanding of the possible earnings. I registered a domain name with the main keyword in it, a .net domain which was not taken yet. I added a Wordpress blog, some plugins and wrote a few articles. I went to Webmaster Central at Google and submitted the URL.

I also put up a link on one of my high traffic blogs so that the website would get indexed fast. Google Bot came by, crawled my pages and put me on the second search result page for the main keyword. I got some links with the main keyword as the anchor tag which pushed me all the way up to position 4 for a few days.

Meanwhile a second entry with the main keyword was on the second search result page and I pushed that page as well so that I now had two placements on the first search results page, positions 3+4.

Some more links assured that I was now placed on 2+3 with only the competing website in front of me. It currently is a question of the datacenter that you look at where my site and the other one are placed. Some more links will most likely make my site a solid number one for the main keyword.

So, what did I do exactly again ?

1. Get a domain name with the keyword
2. Install Wordpress, some plugins to make it SEO ready
3. Write articles on a daily basis, one article per day
4. Get a link from a high traffic blog to ensure that the new blog gets indexed rapidly
5. Get additional links with the main keyword and other keywords to push the website in the SERPS

I made a total of $439.56 in the first month, not to bad for a niche blog. It will perform better once it has established the number one spot at Google.
