When I began blogging I was kinda intimidated by the term SEO. I had lots of respect for it and thought that I could only do and understand it if I read and learned for years. How wrong I was. I’m not saying that these four tips will make you a SEO expert but they are all you need for a very long time. It is not wrong to read and learn more but this five tips can bring you to the top in no time for many keywords.

1. Use a different title for each page using the main keyword(s)
2. Use H1 tags for the page title
3. If you add images use the keyword in your alt tag, don’t spam it though, describe the image thoroughly.
4. Get incoming links that use a keyword that you are targeting as the anchor tag

If you concentrate on those four tips your website will perform nicely. You can still use the spare time to read a good SEO book, forum or website to get additional insights and use them.

Let me shortly, explain why this is all you need. Normally you do not compete against SEO Experts but against fellow webmasters. Most webmasters do not have a clue about SEO at all, a few in the top 10 results may have but sometimes no site is optimized. To compete against these webmasters and websites those four tips are all you need.

Three of them are static, once written they won’t be changed and the only active thing that you have to do is get backlinks with the anchor tag in to improve your SERP in Google.
