This is my first article for my new blog that is carrying my name. I will be using this post as an introductory post to let you know what this blog will be all about and of course to let you know more about myself so that you can see that I have the qualification to write about the topics of this blog.

About this blog:

The blog is aimed at webmasters who want to make a living from their Internet websites. If you read blogs like Problogger, John Chow or Performancing you have a good basis of what you can except from my blog. You can be sure however that my approach will be a bit different to theirs, it would not make much sense to publish a blog that would be exactly like theirs, the market is oversaturated and if you do not offer something unique you will not be recognized by a large audience.

One aspect that is definitely different will be a live example. I started a blog about 6 weeks ago and will write about the beginning and its current status and progress in detail. You will read about methods that I tried and that failed, methods that worked, how I managed to drive 1k users per day to that blog within 4 weeks of launching it and much more.

I personally think that giving that example can be valuable for your own situation. You might read about methods that you never heard about, or that you heard about but did not believe they would work and you could also recognize methods that you also tried so that you can compare results.

About myself

Well, that’s me. I got my first domain name in 1998 and became a professional blogger in the beginning of 2006. I recently quit my backup day job to blog round the clock so to speak. I have lots of experience in the blogging sector, especially with WordPress, and also experience when it comes to SEO, driving traffic to your website and monetizing that traffic.

I’m not perfect though. I make mistakes as much, or even more, than the average webmaster but I think one has to try to see if a method works or if it does not work. You can estimate success and failure if you have enough experience but you’ll never know for sure until you tried it yourself.

Everything I know today has been a result of reading, discussing and trying over the course of the last two years. I’m not a high profile blogger whose name everyone knows and I’m perfectly happy with it.

I encourage feedback and think about the topics that I’m writing about before you are following my lead. I can only improve if you let me know what you do not like, what you do not understand and what worked out for you.
