I would like to outline the plan for this Blogging Experiment and write down what I’m going to do in the next two months to earn at least $300 with this newly created blog per month. I decided to create steps

Step 1 - Preparation Phase

That’s the most important step. It will deal with a handful of important decisions that have a huge impact on the success or failure of this experiment. Among other things I’m going to…

      Pick a Niche
      Pick a domain name
      Pick a webhoster
      Pick a Theme for the Wordpress blog
      Add a handful of plugins to it
      Customize the theme
      Do on-site SEO

That preparation phase will take between 3-4 days the most. That’s the time frame to get the blog up and ready.

Step 2 - Running the Blog

I have to write articles obviously but that’s not all of course. I could write the most interesting articles and still have no visitors at all. I’m going to do the following in this step..

      Write articles
      Get the blog indexed in the major search engines (fast)
      Ping relevant blog services and inform them about my articles
      Create some pages (not articles) that target specific sectors and keywords

    I will not put up advertisement in that time. A blog with no content could get rejected by many advertisers (not Google Adsense but that should not be my major earner anyway). I therefor have the intention to create at least seven articles in the first week and publish them on the blog. This phase does not last longer than seven days. At the end of that time I’m going to apply for some advertising networks.

    Step 3 - Full Speed

    After one and a half week of preparations I’m going to speed up the whole process. I apply for some advertising networks, will do more SEO (off-site) and analyze the progress.

        Find some fitting affiliate systems
        Do off-site SEO, directory submissions, articles, social news and bookmarking sites, comments, link exchanges and probably some link buying. Remember I’m running a tight budget that does not leave much room for that.
        Write additional articles
        Add affiliate codes to the articles
        Add Google Adsense once the affiliate codes are in place
        Count the money ;)

    That’s the plan. I actually bought the domain name already and setup the blog which means I’m ahead of time right now. I’m going to update the blog in the next days with a large article on how I found the niche that I picked.
