Welcome to the first part of a series that I simply call blogging experiment. I will create a live experiment for everyone to follow, describe all the steps that I undertake to bring the blog to the top of the search engines and make heaps of money from it. Here is the goal:

Create a blog that is earning a solid $300 per month after two months with only whitehat methods and a budget of $100

I will walk you through the whole process. I do some research, grab a domain name, a web host, optimize the blog to get it high in the search engines and start a link building process to push it high enough to get some decent traffic.

Each part will get it’s own article and I will write about the progress at least once a week to keep you updated. If you like you can copy what I do - use another topic though I’d suggest - and talk to me and the other readers about your progress and difficulties.

I’m currently in the research and selection stage and will update my blog soon with information about the topic and domain name that I picked.

$300 does not sound that much !

$300 or $10 per day is pretty good for a blog that I plan to update twice a week with articles that take me no more than 2 hours per week. So it is $300 for eight hours of work. That’s the minimum as well, could very well be that this blog is earning more than that but I prefer to keep my expectations lower on this one.

Why do you need a budget ?

You can do it completely without a budget as well. Grab a free blog at Blogspot and get going from there. Has some advantages but some serious disadvantages as well. The budget makes my life easier but is not enough to do serious advertising. I have to purchase a domain name with it and rent webspace somewhere for instance.
